Faridabad Police, has a separate Traffic Police wing headed by DCP Traffic assisted by one ACP. The SHO of Police Station Traffic is an Inspector rank personnel assisted by three Traffic Inspector (TI) for the three zones viz. NIT, Central and Ballabgarh. The Traffic Police Station is located on NH-44 near Bata Chowk with its jurisdiction covering the entire expanse of the city. Traffic Police has 4 Interceptor vehicles, 2 Speed gun, 27 Motorcycles, 6 Victor, 1 Ambulance and 2 cranes.

A total of 22 zonal officers of ASI or equivalent are posted in various zones for better traffic enforcement. They have been provided Motorcycles to quickly respond to a traffic situation for the betterment of public convenience. Further, Traffic paraphernalia is issued to Traffic personnel to enhance their safety and for better Traffic Management. Staff is deployed at Mathura road in night with helmet, reflective jacket and light bar to regulate vehicles. Likewise, To avoid accidents, barricades are erected to slow down the traffic at suitable points.

Challans are issued for over-speeding by four Interceptor vehicles and two speed guns at different places on highway to minimize the scope of accidents. Various Ambulances are in coordination to shift the injured persons immediately to hospital om case of exigency. A special NGT Naka has been setup to check the vehicles plying above 10/15 years for diesel and petrol respectively at Delhi-Badarpur Border.

During winters, free reflectors are being fixed on vehicles with the help of various social organizations. Free medical checkup and eye checkup of Three-Wheeler drivers, Truck-drivers & Police-drivers are being done on a continuous basis. First Aid training to Police drivers & other officials are being planned regularly.

Three challaning branch has also been established 1st challaning branch situated at Room No.506 5th floor ,Mini Sec. Sector 12, Faridabad ( for Central & NIT zone vilators ), 2nd is in PS City Ballabhgarh ( for Ballabgarh vilators ) and 3rd in Room No.317 3rd floor ,Mini Sec. Sector 12, Faridabad ( for Postal Challan vilators ) All challan of M.V. Act, except drunken driving, and No Entry, are compounded in this branch. The entire system is integrated through NIC ( National Informatic Centre ) with minimal human interference. Thus, making the system of challan submission more transparent and accountable.

Faridabad Traffic Police also has a Facebook page with handle @FBDFTP Traffic Police and Twitter handle @FTPfbd in which general public can post their comments on traffic management and also upload pictures of traffic violators for necessary action. Faridabad Traffic Police has 20 traffic volunteers. These volunteers help Traffic Police in traffic regulation, enforcement & education.
